EXHIBITION ON CANVASES
A documentary dimension
The exhibition 'With the climate refugees' is intended for all audiences, the subject being broached in an educational and didactic way. It is both a means to remind us of what may disappear due to global warming and a prospective medium to make people aware that it is still possible to do something to preserve our future.
A scientific guarantee
At a time when forecasts intermingle with fear, our first reaction is to lay down the scientific basis of our approach, consult experts and do in-depth research. Our sources: the IPCC, the IEA, the ADEME, Greenpeace, the EEA.
A sensitive approach
With its reports on a human scale, Argos recounts the story of these people already affected by global warming by stressing the importance of the bonds that link them to their environment. By helping to make the public aware of the dangers brought on by climate change, Argos also agrees to join in the discussion on sustainable development.
The relationship with the public
The exhibition is attractively presented, offering a simple interpretation whereby the public is confronted with powerful images whose aesthetics transcend their aim.
Aesthetics
Each photographer from the Argos Collective has developed a perspective and sensitivity on the places they have visited. Endeavouring to question the individuals in their changing natural context, the works presented have an artistic dimension.
A clear interpretation
The composition of each canvas gives a dynamic to the subject, with concern for legibility, which immediately reveals what is at stake for humankind because of climate change.
The scenography
The chosen medium for the exhibition makes it possible for the scenography to be adapted to the site where it is exhibited. The exhibition is thus constantly reinvented, making its presentation and course always unique.
The medium
The exhibition "With the climate refugees" is composed of one panel for each destination, that is, nine 4m by 1m20 panels accompanying the presentation panel.
Printed on canvas (water and U.V. resistant), the very nature of the exhibition means it can be presented both indoors and outdoors.
